The league will commence on Sunday, November 25 and run through February 24 with the potential of an outdoor championship playoff schedule on February 24th, weather permitting. Games will start every 42 minutes starting at 8:00 AM and run through the early afternoon, depending on the number of teams. The season will run for a total of 15 weeks. Each game will use accredited, sanctioned lacrosse referees.

These leagues will accept team applications as well as individual applications. Individuals who sign up will be assigned to a team in the specified age group.

The Rocket Sports Indoor Lacrosse League will be run under the direction of Russ Atkinson, head coach for the Devon Prep boy’s varsity lacrosse team. Russ has also served as the assistant head coach at The Shipley School and has coached in the Conestoga Youth Lacrosse program in the U-9 through U-15 age groups. Russ is also a member of the Conestoga Youth Lacrosse Board of Directors, Vice President of the CYL under 13 Division and is a former high school, collegiate and club lacrosse player.

PLAYING RULES:

• Games will be played with five field players and a goalie.
• Long poles are NOT allowed. Only short sticks are permitted.
• Roster size is unlimited. A roster size of 15 players is recommended.
• Each team will be required to provide their own reversible, two color pinnies.
• Teams are not limited to their spring team rosters.
• Games will be 40 minutes long with a running clock.
• Substitutions will be made on the fly.
• Standard US Lacrosse penalties will be called
• All players must have a mouth piece.
• Field players will be required to wear a helmet, gloves, arm pad and shoulder pads.
• All Teams will be required to have a goalkeeper wearing full goalkeeper equipment (cup, chest protector, throat guard and goalie stick)

This league is being run with the intention of maintaining a high level of team play that will prepare a team or individual for their spring season. Spring league lacrosse coaches are encouraged to keep their teams together and play throughout the winter.

HOW TO APPLY:
The cost to enter a team is $2250. The entry fee includes your referee fees. There are no additional fees. Teams will be accepted on a first come first served basis. To register a team, or to register as an individual, print out a registration form, fill it out completely and mail it back to Rocket Sports, 224 County Line Road, Wayne, PA 19087. A $500 deposit must accompany all team registration forms. Individual players should fill out an “Individual Player Registration Form” and mail it back with a check for $175, payable to Rocket Sports.
